The VD955 can be used as either a safety loop or free exit probe detector. It should not be used as a safety loop if used with a Free Exit Probe.

Both processing device will need a R700 card to comunicate with the reader. The selector does not store any data, so data cannot be stollen with the reader, the reader can be changed without loosing data, and the gate cannot be activated from the wires to the reader.

There is a blue backlight behind the sensitive area.
