The VD963A, known as the Magna Sensor, is of a new generation of electronic sensors which do the job of a loop detector, except better and more reliably. The Magna sensor recognizes vehicles by the ferrous content of the car. Unlike ordinary loop detectors, the sensor adjusts for most drainage and access covers.

The VD955 can be used as either a safety loop or free exit probe detector. It should not be used as a safety loop if used with a Free Exit Probe. 

The VD955 includes a VD.CI Interface board, to work with most gate automation control panels.
